  1. Hi Nihar,

Glad to inform you that, I am planning to start my business with uber after reading your blog posts.

Small query. The incentive plan for mumbai is not clear. Can you please elaborate more. Thanks in advance

  2. Hi Anand,
Unlike other Indian cities Uber Mumbai incentive is based on Online time rather than number of trips or total fare earned. I am not sure why uber adopted this in Mumbai, this is probably because of the plethora of other cheap alternative available in Mumbai.
But soon it might revise the plans.

  3. Fare amount scheme is very bad please stop fare amount scheme in mumbai

  4. Can you give an example that how much a driver can earn using online process in Mumbai

  5. Hi Nihar... Is incentives applicable for drivers also who has taken car from Uber on leasing? What is the commission charged by Uber from them on trips they do? I have heard there is not incentives given by OLA to their drivers who has leased their vehicles from OLA... Is it true?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, Its not at all like that. You need to give a specific amount each week for using Uber's or Ola's car as leasing fee. Everything else including incentive and all are applicable to everyone.
For details on leasing read here : http://www.uberguru.in/2016/08/uber-car-leasing-policy-pros-and-cons.html

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hi Bhargav, No you don't have to be online for 15 hours. Its just that, you will get paid hourly basis. So the more time you are online, the more you get paid.

  9. Hi Niharji
Suppose my business of day is 3500 will I get both 3500 earning and 3300 incentive..Please reply

    1. Hi Sagar,
Let say your hourly payment in a day is 3300 (330 x 10 hours)and you collected 3500 fare. You will get 3500.
But collecting 3500 in a day is almost impossible. So what happens in reality say, you collect 1700 - 1800 in a day by working for 10 hours. You get 3300 and the collected amount would go to Uber.

      Delete
    2. Hi Nihar, So do you mean that if i collect 1700 in fare, the entire 1700 will go to Uber?

  11. Hi nihar,
Could you plz check on pune's latest inventive plan, & elaborate it, its not at all clear to anybody here, customer care says 1 thing, & pune office says different thing, like if you call customer care you get 3 /4 different answers, really confusing

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hi Shiv,
Yes, the paid amount will be the same irrespective of short or long trips.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hi Nihar,
suppose i do the business of Rs.2500/- in 10 hours. If Company Paid me 330 per hour that is Rs.3300/-, Company paid from own pocket the different amount i.e rs.800/-.please make clear statement on that.
    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yes you are absolutely right. The balance amount will be bear by Uber.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Is it profitable if i pay 100 rs per trip to my driver?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Ok to answer that; Sometimes you will reach target by doing 5-6 trips in Uber and Sometimes you need to do 12 plus trips. So I don't see it logical. As per incentive plan of Mumbai a per hour payment will make more sense.

  16. Hi Nihar,
    your comments above are of great help - just need a clarification with below claculations;

The logic of driving in peak hours is clear, just want to understand the calculations for driving in non peak hours.

    If my driver drives for 10 hrs i.e. 7am to 11 am & 5pm to 11pm then fr 10 hrs i earn Rs. 3300

    1) What happens if my driver drives from 7 am to 8pm (i.e. total 7 hrs in peak hrs & 6 hrs in non peak hrs)?
    2) what happens if he starts a ride @ 10:47 and the same ends at 11:30 am then the same is it part of peak hour or non peak hour?
    3) Whilst driving in peak hours overall (7 hrs) i make Rs. 900 & in non peak hours (6 hrs) i make Rs. 750 then how would the calculation work - kindly correct if the below calculation is wrong
    Rs.330 p/hr * 6 = Rs. 1980
Rs 750 earned in non peak hour
    Total Earning = 1980 + 750 = Rs. 2730
is the above calculation correct or any mistake in the same ?

Sorry to trouble you with the questions but before entering the market or investing just need to get few things clarified

Also if possible can you please guide me with any joining bonus for Uber?

    Thanking you in advance

    1. 1) For peak hours the hourly guarantee is 330 RS/hr while for non-peak hours hourly guarantee is 160 RS/hr, but you have to make sure that you complete all the required condition
      >Minimum trips (Online Hrs* 0.66)
      >acceptance rate should be above 75%
      >Completeion rate should be above 50%
      >>No fraud trips

      2) No matters when the trip ends if trip begins in Peak hour it will be consider in peak timing.

      3) For peak hours if you earn 900 then the incentive paid to you will be
(Hourly guarntee * Toatal online hours)- total earning
      so if
(7*330)-900 will be the extra amount added to the partners account

  58. Aap log jo incentive scheme dikhate ho woh temporary base par hota hai, sirf new cab attachment tak wo implement hota hai uske baad aap log scheme change kar dete ho jiss wajah se hum driver aur cab owners ko bahot mushkilo ka saamna karna padta hai..
Jaise abhi Mumbai mein current scheme boost ki hai (6am to 7am 1.1x - 1.2x, 7am to 10am 1.2x - 1.3x, 10am to 11am 1.2x - 1.3x, 11am to 4pm 1.1x - 1.2x, 4pm to 5pm different, 5pm to 10pm different, 10pm to 11pm different, 11pm to 12am different & 12 am to 4am different) jisme mumbai jaise heavy traffic mein ek driver 12 hours mein maximum 8 se 9 trip kar pata hai jisme owner ki earning hoti hai 1600 se 2000 ( and driver charges Rs.120/trip to owner i.e. 9 trips x 120 = 1080, diesel (fuel) minimum 800 to 1000/- in heavy traffic total 2080 expenses) ab batao hum log car ki EMI ya maintenance kaha se manage kare..
aap log sirf logo ko dikhawe ke liye schemes batate hai baad mein hum log khud ko phasa hua mehsoos karte hai..

    FROM TO HOURS * (330/160) = RUPEES

    11.00 AM to 12.15 PM So 1.25 * 160 = 200
    03.45 PM to 05.00 PM So 1.25 * 160 = 200
