WHAT IS THE DAILY INCOME OF THE CAB DRIVER WORKING FOR UBER IN INDIA?

I am an Uberpreneur (that’s what UBER calls us) for quite a time now.
I think your question is for Car owners rather than the drivers who drive their own car, hence settled
to write this one.

So how much an UBER car owner earns in a day ? To answer you shortly it can’t be the same everyday. As the day you make good work you can’t do as much just the next day. You know, your body needs rest.

So coming to your question again,
How much the owner can earn ? (As i am writing on 9th June 2016)
As per the plans that are running right now the more you run the car the more you can earn. So taking the most ideal case, lets say your driver is hitting the highest one each day. That way it will make you richer by Rs. 6750 a day. Yes you read it right. So for a month it would be 6750 x 26 days (1 off per week) = 1,75,500 which will force people to decide on their current job surely.
Now the expenses ? (Per month)
Diesel : Rs. 25,000 +
Driver : Rs. 30,000 +
Maintenance : Rs. 5,000 +
So roughly the balance will be :
1,75,500 - (25,000 + 30,000 + 5,000) = 1,15,500
So say per day it will be : 1,15,500 ÷ 26 days = Rs. 4,442
PS : These are the ideal case as your expense might vary because of the fragile diesel price, the Mileage and maintenance what so ever & all the analysis is for Bangalore roads.

Edit : As per the request of couple of Quora users let me give you a more realistic picture. How much actually an owner with good driver is earning a month in Bangalore.
In a week Analysis:
Work days : 6 days
Hitting the top slot of Rs. 6750 : 3 days
Hitting the lower-med slot of Rs. 4350 : 3 days
In a week total : (6750 x 3 ) + (4350 x 3) = Rs. 33,300
In a month :
Gross Income : 33,000 x 4 = 1,33,200
Diesel : Rs. 20,000 (as you will be running less)
Driver : Rs. 25,000 (as most drivers paid hourly basis)
Maintenance : Rs. 3,000 (less run means less maintenance)
So roughly in a month it will be : Rs. 85,200
Which will be Rs. 3277 per day.

Here is my last week’s payment statement :

**************************************** UPDATE ************************************************

Incentive Plan:
a) Get Rs. 7200 BG for Rs. 2280 earnings

b) Get Rs. 6500 BG for Rs. 1900 earnings
c) Get Rs. 6000 BG for Rs. 1670 earnings
d) Get Rs. 5000 BG for Rs. 1450 earnings
e) Get Rs. 3800 BG for Rs. 1220 earnings
f) Get Rs. 2500 BG for Rs. 910 earnings
g) Get Rs. 1200 BG for Rs. 460 earnings

With an Uber X

I am hitting 2280 2 times a week.
All others 1900 i.e. 4 times a week.

7200 x 0.7569 = 5449
5449 x 2 days = 10,899

6500 x 0.7569 = 4920
4920 x 4 days = 19,679

In a week earning will be 19,679 + 10,899 = 30,578 per week
Per month : 30,578 x 4 = 1,22,312

So for a month we will have expense of 1,500 (Driver, Diesel, Internet, call) x 26 = 39,000

Potential profit will be : 1,22,312 – 39,000 = 83,312 per month

    1. I suppose for any mishap car insurance should cover something. When your driver drive for uber, he is automatically become a member of UBER club which started providing insurance to its drivers. So pretty much as an owner of the car you will also have some responsibilities to act on. Hope this helps.

  7. Gone are the days when ola and uber drivers were used to earn about 30 or 40 thousands in Chandigarh area. Now they are not even earning their livelihood. They are earning hardly 5 to 6 thousands per month after doing a duty of 15 hours a day. The reason is increasing amount of taxies in chandigarh area . There are more than 40000 taxies have already been attached with both , ola and uber. That's why.

  10. These all depends on driver of the cab that how many did he serve his service in 1 day. If he give 12-15 hours daily then his salary should be minimum Rs 50,000 - 1,00,000/Months. If you go through Travelmind.in then it should be more. Thanks
